Illegal Tenants/Occupants As per Residential Tenancies Act, 2006 – Section 67 67 (1) A Landlord may give a Tenants notice of termination of the tenancy if the number of persons occupying the rental unit on a continuing basis results in a contravention of health, safety or housing standards required by law. (2006, c. 17, s. 67 (1)) 67 (2) A notice of termination under subsection (1) shall set out the circumstances that led to the contravention of the health, safety or housing standards. (2006, c. 17, s. 67 (2)) 67 (3) A tenant may not be required to move out of the rental unit if the tenant reduces the number of persons in the rental unit, within a reasonable time after receiving the notice, so that the contravention no longer exists. (2006, c. 17, s. 67 (3)) The Applicant consents to the collection, use and disclosure of the Applicants’s personal information by the Landlord and/or agent of the Landlord, from time to time, for the purpose of determining the creditworthiness of the Applicant for the leasing, selling or financing of the premises or the real property, or making such other use of the personal information as the Landlord and/or agent of the Landlord deems appropriate. The Applicant represents that all statements made above are true and correct. The Applicant is hereby notified that a consumer report containing credit and/or personal information may be referred to in connection with the rental. The Applicant authorizes the verification of the information contained in this application and information obtained from personal references. This application is not a rental or Lease agreement. In the event that this application is not accepted, Landlords are not liable to provide any reason. The Applicant acknowledges that once they have paid their deposit to secure the unit and it has been approved by the landlord, the deposit shall be Non Refundable should the tenant not move in to the unit as per the agreed terms.I agree not to engage in prohibited activities such as marijuana smoking, retail, growing, or warehousing on the premises.
